Glenmon Job Corps Student Government’s  Green Team Committee Chairmen Joshua Graham and Delvon Shepherd work diligently to ensure that recyclable plastic bottles are not wasted here at Glenmont Job Corps Center. Recently, Student Government Association had a Recycle Bin Contest on all dorms. Since then, students and staff have begun recycling more bottles and cans. Peer Leadership Coordinator Ms. Watts stated, “The initiative to encourage recycling on our center through the Recycling Bin Contest was amazing! We hope to keep the momentum going by placingrecycling bins throughout the entire center.” The Green Team will continue to encourage everyone to recycle and will stop by your areas to pick up the bottles and cans. All money earned through recycling bottles and cans from the dorms goes directly into the dorm funding for activities and events. All funds earned by returning bottles collected throughout the rest of the center will go towards the SGA fund so that we can continue to have activities and events that meet all student’s needs.
