Glenmont Job Corps celebrated all of their Staff and Students on June 24th when they held their Annual DIVERSITY DAY on campus.
The culinary class, with the help of Chef Mark, put together an amazing table of rice, beans and ox tails! Other staff made meals from all over the world! There were flavors from around the globe! Not only did we celebrate cultural diversity, but also religious and sexuality. This day is always one of our favorites on campus and this year was even better because we were able to be IN PERSON!! The best part of Job Corps is the diverse backgrounds you see all through the campus…it was a great time to not only respect the differences, but to celebrate them!
The diversity day activities continued and then of course led to a visit from the Ice Cream truck and a Staff vs. Student Kickball Game…because…well, why not?
A huge thank you to all of the amazing staff that participated in this event! It was so much fun and it was truly one of the days that makes us want to explode with pride for being Panthers!!
