GJCC Culinary Students visit Culinary Institute of America

 February 5, 2016. After a busy day catering the Poughkeepsie CRC Brunch, Chef Beth Koster treated her culinary students to a visit to the Culinary Institute of America in Poughkeepsie, NY. Chef Beth, our Culinary Instructor is a graduate of C.I.A, holding degrees in both cooking and pastry making.
Chef Beth took the students on a tour of the campus and the classrooms. They also ate lunch at one of the restaurants there. One of the students said, “The food was delicious there!” A couple students were so impressed that they filled out applications to the Institute right there on the spot. We thank Chef Beth for giving her students the opportunity to see what a higher level of Culinary Arts education looks like. Students were impressed and the visit helped them think about planning ahead for future goals.
