Ms. Morin, Business Community Liaison, received a letter of thanks from Ms. Joan Gavrilik of Friends of Bethlehem Parks and Recreation. In the letter Ms. Gavrilik thanks Glenmont Job Corps culinary students and Chef Beth Koster for baking muffins for “I Love My Park Day” which was held on May 7th, 2016.
In the letter Ms. Gavrilik states, “The event was a great success. It was a beautiful sunny morning, and volunteers planted flowers, weeded, trimmed, raked and cleaned grills and replaced wood chips in the playground.” She also wrote, “Everyone was impressed by the muffins and asked where they came from. We were happy and proud to display the Glenmont Job Corps Logo prominently on our posters at the event, as well as to acknowledge your donation on our website and Facebook page.”
“I Love My Park Day” is a statewide event coordinated by Parks and Trails of New York. This year’s event was celebrated at more than 100 locations throughout New York State. Glen-mont Job Corps Center was pleased to be able to donate the muffins. Special thanks go out to Chef Beth Koster and her culinary students who worked hard to enable our donation.
