Four students are currently taking part in Glenmont’s Leadership Peer Mediation class. Peer mediators are students who provide support to their peers throughout any interpersonal conflicts that may occur. These mediators are trained by Glenmont’s Peer Leadership Coordinator, Ms. Watts, and are qualified to mediate situations that occur on dorm or around center. Glenmont Job Corps Center currently has 15 trained peer mediators. Any Glenmont Job Corps Center student may work toward becoming a Peer Mediator. The requirements are that the student be on center for 45 days and they are required to take leadership classes. Peer Mediators play an important role at GJCC and are appreciated by all on center
