It was an EXCITING day for the staff and students at GJCC on June 21, 2022! They were able to hold the first in person community mixer since 2020!

Center Director, Erin Ferguson, spoke to the guests about how great it felt to be able to get back to normal! Slowly-but surely! Glenmont Community Events were always a great time for the center, as it was a time where not only staff but the STUDENTS were able to participate in the action! And this first in-person event was not different!

Facilities maintenance students helped with the set up of the Pavilion, including adding a new paint color to freshen things up– you know, a post-COVID make over of sorts! GJCC security students guided the guests to the designated parking area and provided on site directions. MAA students helped to register and greet guests and gave them a little swag bag of GJCC goodies. And who can forget, the culinary students (With the guidance of Chef Mark) provided a beautiful spread of snacks for the guests. This was the FIRST event that they were able to cater for outside guests on center, and they did a phenomenal job!

It was a great day for Glenmont! We are looking forward to more guests being able to come to the center and meet with us again!
