Office Administration completer and current Advanced College Training student Hassan McClain is the most recent student to land a new career with Speedway!  After serving 6 weeks of un-paid Work Based Learning, Hassan was officially offered a job with the company and will begin his new position as a Customer Service Representative next week.  

“I’m excited for this new opportunity” states Hassan, “I really enjoyed my internship with Speedway and am looking forward to becoming a real employee.”

Hassan enrolled at the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center in January of 2009.  During his time on-center he has completed the Office Administration trade and earned his GED.  In April of 2011 and after completing the program, he was accepted into the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center’s Advance College Training program and enrolled at Grand Rapids Community College.

“Working at Speedway will allow me to earn income while I am attending college and will make me more independent” explains Hassan. “I could not be where I am today if it weren’t for the Job Corps program and the opportunities they have provided me.”
