Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Security Students provided additional assistance and support to local Grand Rapids Police and Fire Departments last week during the production of the motion picture “30 Minutes or Less”, staring Danny R. McBride and Aziz Ansari. Local streets were shutdown for the filming of a high-speed car chase sequence and crash. Students stood guard on intersections and side streets to prevent pedestrians from walking onto the set, and into a potentially dangerous situation. The week-long, all-day assignment provided security students the opportunity to practice the techniques and skills they are learning in their trade, while also gaining experience working along side cast and crew members, stunt doubles, movie producers, and trained movie set security guards.
