The Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center received the Project of the Year Award as part of the 2012 LINC Community Spirit Awards. The center was recognized as being vital to the success and sustainability of our community. The Community Spirit Awards are bestowed upon community members who have tirelessly devoted their time, energy and skills to revitalizing their neighborhoods. The Project of the Year Award highlights an organization that has completed a project within the last twelve-eighteen months and displays a sense of community and partnerships consistent with local development efforts, demonstrating commitments to the neighborhoods and communities in which they provide services. Ms. Melissa Jager was present to accept the award on behalf of the Center. Students have had the opportunity to contribute their time and labor towards the construction project through work-based learning on Center.
