In honor of Make a Difference Day, Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center students spent time during their weekly mentoring groups coloring dinner sacks for local non-profit organization Kids Food Baskets. Kids Food Baskets uses the sacks to package dinners for local Grand Rapids Public School kids that typically are not fed dinner in the evenings at home. Coloring the sacks with fun pictures and positive messages brightens the day for the local kids, who often use the sacks as wallpaper in their bedrooms after eating the food packaged in them. Altogether, the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center colored more than 500 sacks to be donated to Kids Food Baskets!
