Over 20 students and 4 staff members of the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center spent their morning of October 21st assisting the City of Grand Rapids with a clean-up project at the local Lincoln Park in honor of Make A Difference Day. Students raked leaves, picked up sticks and debris, and helped to scrap paint off an old building located on the property. Facility Maintenance student Victory McClellan’s hard work and diligence paid-off as the City of Grand Rapids offered her a job on-the-spot to work in their City Maintenance Department! Overall, the students enjoyed the project and are looking forward to returning to finish their work!
