Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center Office Administration completer, Jasmine Norton, has landed the job of her dreams.  As an Account Specialist at Wolverine World Wide, she is utilizing the skills she learned at Job Corps and is happy to have finally secured stable, full-time employment.

Wolverine World Wide is headquartered in Rockword, Michigan and is a global marketer of footwear, apparel, and accessories, selling products in over 190 countries world-wide.

After graduating from High School and not having the skills needed to land a good paying job, Jasmine enrolled in the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center in May of 2011.  She quickly advanced through the Office Administration trade, completed Work Based Learning at Vi-Chem Corporation, and passed her certification exam to become a Microsoft Office User Specialist. 

Speaking at the Gerald R. Ford Job Corps Center Community Relations Council meeting in September, Jasmine thanked Job Corps for giving her the credentials and experiences she needed to be successful.

“Job Corps opened many windows of opportunity for me,” expressed Jasmine, “the people affiliated with Job Corps were inspiring and because of their support my time in the program was filled with inspirations and irreplaceable life lessons.”
