Students participated in Juneteenth Parade down the streets of San Marcos Texas Celebrating the Emancipation of the Slaves in Texas two and a half years after the inital Emancipation Proclamation. Following the Parade students from the Gary Job Corps Corrections and Security Trade assisted in directing traffic and crowd control for the BBQ Cook-off. 100’s of local residents enjoyed the cook-off, music, and games over the day and a half event, this is the 18th year of the festivities.
