The Gainesville Job Corps Center paused to say “Thank You” to all its’ business and community partners on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 during a CRC Appreciation Luncheon. Center Director, Sam Kolapo, presented CRC president Gwen Love with a plaque for being an extraordinary visionary and for her dedication and leadership of the Community Relations Council (CRC).  Ms. Love is instrumental in organizing and helping the center plan most of its community outreach projects.

Mr. Kolapo also recognized City College’s Career Services Director Zag Zagaiski for his service to the center. When City College was relocating and getting rid of most of its office and lounge furniture, he donated all of it to the center. Students and staff at the center were able to use the furniture to give their rooms and offices a new look.

All business and community partners were thanked and appreciated for their dedication and service to the center. The luncheon was filled with warm hugs of appreciation and smiles of comfort as the center and the council expressed their appreciation for one another.
