GJCC Career Development Services Department hosted over 20 Gainesville High School juniors and seniors on Monday, May 16, 2011. The aspiring youths toured the center and learned about the Job Corps Program and eligibility requirements. Now the students can add the Gainesville Job Corps Center as one of their many options for career and academic advancement. The tour is just one of many to come. GJCC and the Alachua County School Board have partnered to ensure that “no child is left behind.’ Students that are struggling in the area middle and high schools will be identified and directed to the Job Corps Program.
