Support Job Corps

I am writing to express my firm belief that Job Corps works.

The Gainesville Job Corps Center has been a staple in Gainesville. Job Corps is a positive program that provides education and career training to at-risk and under-served young people.

Since the Gainesville Job Corps Center was established, the community has seen more and more youth become empowered with the skills they need to be independent and successful members of this community. Job Corps does an extraordinary job at building a brighter future for today’s youth and their children.

I cannot imagine a time without Job Corps. I urge the support of continuing programs that truly work, are cost-effective, and creating the next generation of caring citizens. Job Corps transforms youth into the kind of adults that are independent, hardworking, and most importantly, tax-paying members of Gainesville.
