City Commissioner Sherwin Henry encouraged a packed gymnasium full of ambitious Job Corps students to make the right decisions and stay focused. The City Commissioner shared how he ran for office 6 years ago and was defeated. He shared how he did not let that setback keep him from pursuing his dream of becoming an elected official. He explained to students how he campaigned again and won and was elected two consecutive terms.
Students were inspired and encouraged. Many remarked that they would never give up on their goals which is exactly what the commissioner wanted to hear!
