Tabitha Royal Shares With Job Corps Students

4.13.16 Ms. Servetrius Booker, CTS Specialist for the American Business Corporation Career Education Services invited Mrs. Tabitha Royal, Service Coordinator for the Alabama Institute for Deaf & Blind (AIDB) Senior Services in Talladega, AL to speak to the Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) and the Hotel and Lodging classes. Mrs. Royal is a former C.N.A for a Nursing Home but has worked as an Alabama Probation Officer, a Social Worker for the Alabama Department of Human Resources and works now as a Service Coordinator for the AIDB. Mrs. Royal said that she has worked with people between the ages of 2 to 100, but says it’s the senior citizens who have stolen her heart. Mrs. Royal talked to our students about a common sense approach to life and to have compassion for what you want to do for the rest of your life. She said that the main thing that causes the lack of compassion in this world is ourselves and we need to be more caring, loving, forgiving, and remember we are on even lanes here – no one is on a better road than another; but we are all on the road called life. She tested our students in a demonstration of situations that might happen on the job and how they would react to a life crisis as an employee. We appreciate Mrs. Royal coming and sharing insight about life with our students.
