Mr. Juvenel Levros, Center Director, and Mr. Harold Carpenter, BCL Manager, and Erica Jackson, Hotel and Lodging student attended the Chamber of Commerce Meeting to hear Congressman Robert B. Aderholt speak to The Chamber of Commerce of Gadsden/Etowah County. Congressman Aderholt was invited by Carolyn Parker, Etowah County Commissioner to speak to the Chamber of Commerce about the different issues that is taking place in Washington D.C. and in the State of Alabama. Ms. Jackson met Congressman Aderholt and was appreciative for all he does for the Gadsden Job Corps Center. Mr. Levros thanked Congressman Aderholt for recently being our Graduation Speaker and his continued support for the Gadsden Job Corps Center. Congressman Aderholt spoke in the meeting and shared that he is a member of the House Committee on Appropriations, which has jurisdiction over funding the operation of the federal government. As Chairman of the Subcommittee on Agriculture, he supports greater transparency, accountability and oversight to the appropriations process. Congressman Aderholt is also a member of the Commerce, Justice & Science Subcommittee and the Defense Subcommittee. He also shared information about the upcoming 2017 budget submitted by President Barack Obama and the many other issues that are going on in America and in the State of Alabama.
