On Wednesday, May 25, 2016 the Office Administration class hosted a Career Exploration Workshop on Center. Ms. Muriel Foster, IT Audit Director for University of Alabama Systems, along with several of her colleagues and career professionals, conducted the Career Exploration Workshop. The event focused on preparing our students for future job opportunities and exposing them to career possibilities. Our students came to the event very excited, with their resumes in hand. Students participated in mock interviews, dress for success and resume writing activities. First Lt. Danny Pressley Jr., spoke with students who were interested in enlisting in the Military. Students were very engaged in the event. They were given an opportunity to participate in a question and answer session where they were able to ask questions such as: what qualities are employers looking for when choosing a candidate for employment, how to prepare for military enlistment, and what courses should be taken in college in preparation for owning a business, etc.? The Office Administration class presented thank you cards to Ms. Foster and her colleagues for taking the time to share their knowledge with them.
