Malika Jackson Serving In The U.S. Army

Malika Jackson began at Gadsden Job Corps Center on July 28, 2015. He completed the Gadsden Job Corps Center on March 17, 2016 and shortly afterwards joined the Army Active Duty and is stationed in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is doing such an outstanding job and is looking at making a career out of the military. Malika stated that the ability to make snap decisions and to work under pressure which he learned while enrolled in the program, helped him to be able to make it through basic training. Malika has learned to put the stress to one side and focus on the job at hand. Can you decide quickly which approach will achieve the maximum results in a short amount of time, and then get the job done? The best advice that he can give our students is, if you think you can’t, you’re right. You’re only capable of doing only what you think you can do. Don’t look for reasons why you can’t do something. Excuses are plentiful and if you can’t find your own, there are plenty of people who will lend you theirs. If you are looking, there will always be reasons why something cannot be done. Instead turn the phrase, “I can’t do that” into “how can I do that?” Take the “t” out of can’t. Nothing happens by chance. You have to work for the good stuff. Anything is possible if you truly believe it.
