Job Corps Students Empower The Gadsden Community

On May 21, 2016 Mr. Harold Carpenter, BCL Manager and Ms. Ceandra James, CTR/Grad-90 Instructor took 13 Student Ambassadors to Carver Community Center to the Empowering Gadsden Conference. The Empowering Gadsden Conference has a mission in the City of Gadsden, “To prepare and inspire all students in the community to become career ready through learning, serving, and excelling. These are the same guiding principles of the Gadsden Job Corps Center. Our Student Ambassadors spoke about the different career technical training and how they have been empowered with a pursuit of excellence. Each student stated their name; where they were from in Alabama and the career technical trade they were pursuing. They also shared their goals and what they wanted to accomplish in their future. The Student Ambassadors’ focus was on helping others in the City of Gadsden to achieve and go to a higher level in their pursuit of life. Gadsden Job Corps want to thank Ms. Teresa Beverly for the opportunity to be a part of Empowering Gadsden.
