Gadsden Student and Staff Take to the Air Waves About Recruitment

7.22.16 Gadsden Job Corps Center CTS/Grad 90 Instructor, Ms. Ceandra James, student Lance Eason, C.N.A student, and BCL manager, Harold Carpenter were guests on the noon talk show of Mr. Frederick Zackery on local radio station WMGJ this week to discuss the Gadsden Job Expo and the Job Corps program. Ms. James shared information about the Gadsden Expo that was sponsored by the City of Gadsden and Parks and Recreation with over 70 companies and employers. Student Lance Eason shared how the Gadsden Job Corps has helped him complete his high school diploma and receive his C.N.A. Certification. Mr. Carpenter spoke about the process that area youth should follow in seeking admission to the program and also gave an overview of the Center and its performance. Being involved in the community was another topic that was important to the talk show host. Mr. Carpenter reviewed the many ways that our students work in the community, as well as mentioning some of the new Work-Base Learning Sites that show the opportunities those businesses can have by partnering with Job Corps. WMGJ has been in operation for over 30 years and is recognized as a business leader by the citizens of Gadsden. The Gadsden Job Corps Center thanks WMJG for inviting Ms. James, Lance Eason and Mr. Carpenter to the Noon Show hosted by Mr. Frederick Zachery.
