Gadsden Job Corps Students Work In Soup Kitchen

As a way of continuing with our monthly Community Outreach and community service, students from the CTR/Grad-90 Student Council, volunteered at The Way of the Cross Soup Kitchen in Gadsden, AL, which feeds anywhere from 250 to 700 people per day and have been doing so for the past 15 years. Our students were allowed to interact with the guests and staff in many ways such as; preparing and serving food, sweeping the cafeteria, folding clothes, etc. just to name a few. The students who were in attendance did such an amazing job, that they were invited to come back every Wednesday. The ministry also provides free haircuts, showers, clothing, and bill pay service to needy families. We would like to thank Mr. Kenneth and Margret Brown for their love and generosity shown toward our students. We appreciate our students for lending a helping hand and providing this valuable community service.
