Gadsden Job Corps Students Assist With Meals on Wheels

On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, our Career Transition Readiness and Grad-90 Council students, partnered with the Manna Meals on Wheels program and Riverview Regional Medical Center in performing community service at several locations throughout the city of Gadsden. Our students and staff were assigned to the downtown Gadsden and historical Tuscaloosa area where they delivered meals to the elderly and less fortunate to promote our monthly community outreach program. Students were also able to assist residents with their daily living needs such as; taking out the trash and removing debris. We would like to once again, thank Manna for entrusting this service to our students.
Dynasty Myles came to the Gadsden Job Corps Center from Anniston, AL. She started Job Corps on June 9, 2015 and was a graduate of our Office Administration skills trade. She completed Job Corps on October 23, 2015. Dynasty is currently attending Gadsden State Community College where she is studying Computer Information Science. She plans to be a Computer Technician once she obtains her degree. She also works for Jackson Hewitt in Anniston, AL providing quality tax service to customers. She said that her keys to success was her belief in God and having a strong support system. We are very proud of Dynasty’s success thus far and wish her the best on her future endeavors.
