7.25.16 The Gadsden Job Corps Center had the opportunity to host our 4th Annual Career Expo and Health Fair, sponsored by the City of Gadsden Parks and Recreation on Monday, July 25, 2016. This event was designed to showcase the many trades and opportunities offered with the Gadsden Job Corps program. Attendees included C.E.D Mental Health, First Choice Personnel, Johnson’s Giant Foods, Attalla Health Care and Rehab, Waffle House, Personal Staffing Inc., Etowah County Sheriff’s Department, and Region’s Bank, just to name a few. Each student had the opportunity to discuss their experience, training, and goals during this event. The employers not only gave interviewing pointers, but offered jobs to several students that resided in the Gadsden area upon their completion with the program. They were highly impressed with each student’s professionalism and eagerness to work. We would like to thank everyone for their help and participation in making this year’s event a success.
