4.6.16 Mr. Juvenel Levros, Center Director; Sherry Hixon, Academic Manager; and Harold Carpenter, BCL Manager met with Dr. Emily Sims, Dean of Secondary Education and Dr. Linda Mitchell, Associate Professor of Secondary Education for Jacksonville State University (JSU) to finalize the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jacksonville State University. The Gadsden Job Corps Center is partnering with JSU Educational Department to collaborate and work together with our Academic Department. Mr. Juvenel Levros signed the MOU from JSU to partner together to help assist our students in academics. Dr. Sims and Dr. Mitchell will provide student teachers from Jacksonville State University to work with Academic Instructors in our Reading and Math classes to help our students improve their Reading and Math proficiency skills. The Center is very excited about this new partnership and how it will benefit our students. The partnership is slated to begin May 9th.
