Students and Staff at Flint Genesee Job Corps Raise $500 for Autism Awareness Day

Students and staff at the Flint Genesee Job Corps loved  giving  back  to the  community to share and create more awareness of various events and needs the week of March 28th.   To recognize Autism Awareness Day, the Diversity Committee challenged both students and staff  to raise money in recognition of this important event.   Each participant donating were able to create “tie-dyes” t-shirts for each $5.00 donated.  Art supplies were available and both students and staff were happy to give back while displaying various creative designs on t-shirts which they displayed proudly.  A Donation of $500.00 was made were made to the Autism Support Group on April 1st, National Autism Awareness Day!  Information will be shared with our team in April to advise how the funds will be thoughtfully used.  We are most proud of our team’s  effort and look forward to learning more of how we can assist those in need in our community!
