During the Community Relations Council Meeting at Flint Genesee Job Corps Center  held on March 17th,  Flint  Michigan’s Mayor Dayne Walling gave an update of the cities updates and progress – Building Blocks for Flint.  Mayor Walling also had participated in First Lady Michelle Obamas’ “Lets Move” conference call and looks forward to working with Job Corps in regards to the “Lets Move” campaign. 

Other presenters on the CRC Agenda included the U.S. EnvironmentalProtection Agency who discussed the progress of clean up project of Buick City, located next door to Flint/Genesee Job Corps,  as well as one of our WBL partners from Speedway LLC, who spoke about the positive relationship with the center, the benefits of the WBL program,  and hiring a young person from Job Corps.
