Student Success Story: Jeffrey P.

Jeffrey P. had just about decided to give up.  He had a tough home life, dropped out of school, never held a consistent job, was moving from home to home and had no real prospects for anything.  That was when his brother asked him if he had heard about Job Corps.  He did a little research, enrolled in the Flint/Genesee Job Corps Center and since then has:

• Completed the Certified Nurse Aide and Computer Tech trades
• Enrolled in the ACT program, which is designed to aide trainees in their quest to attend college
• Accepted into the Disney College Program and began his internship in May of 2010
• Plans to go back to school and complete a degree in nursing to pursue his dream of being a nurse
