JOB CORPS Under a year ago, Holiday Inn Express Hotel entered into a Work Based Learning (WBL)agreement with the Flint Genesee Job Corps Center, utilizing several Hotel/Hospitality trade students; teaching them various aspects of the Hotel industry. WBL responsiblities and tasks began with guest services, to proper cleaning and arrangement of guest room set up, ending with laundry services. Not only has the Holiday Inn Express welcomed our trainees for hands on training; but they’ve offered our trainees employment as a result of their hard work. Recently, two trainees that began Work Based Learning at the Flint Holiday Inn Express were offered employment in their home town in Muskegon, Michigan. Trainees did an excellent job setting a positive example, enabling other trainees the same opportunity.
