Mr. Armando Hernandez, originally from the city of Guadalajara, Mexico, gave a wonderful presentation including the history of Cinco De Mayo at the Flint/Genesee Job Corps Center. Mr. Hernandez serves on various boards and committees to include the Institute for Mexicans Abroad Advisory Council, which makes recommendations to the Mexican government to assist Mexican citizens living in the U.S. and Canada raise their standard of living. Both students and staff appreciated Mr. Hernandez taking time from his busy schedule to give a better understanding of the Spanish holiday.
