After hearing about the increase in the homeless being served at Catholic Charities of Genesee and Shiawassee Counties,  students wanted to help anyway they could.  Because of the overflow. Catholic Charities turned their chapel into a place where the homeless can rest and sleep.  It also provides a daily meal, clothing items, scheduled showers, and a mat/blanket to sleep on.  Student leaders at Flint Genesee Job Corps collected hygiene items to include shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, and hand sanitizer for those in need at Catholic Charities, located a few blocks from the center.  Staff at Catholic Charities were pleased with our students kind gestures and we are sure those less fortunate were most appreciative.   Well done students – we are proud of you!
