In recognition of Martin Luther King Day, students and staff at Flint Genesee Job Corps partnered with Habitat of Humanity and Sleep in Heavenly Peace for children in need in Genesee County. Over 100 volunteers, along with students and staff, constructed 54 bunk beds for children without a bed in our community, utilizing the carpentry and painting skill trade training areas. This community serve project empowers students, providing hands-on experience while addressing the local need for beds, ensuring children don’t have to sleep on the floor. Great job students!
