Eighty Flint/Genesee Students Prepare “Bags for CRIM Race”

In preparation the the annual CRIM Race, held in Flint, Michigan on August 27th, eighty Flint/Genesee Job Corps students volunteered along with other organizations to stuff bags with literature, coupons, and giveaways from various businesses.  Over 30,000 guest were expected to attend the CRIM Race, which assist various causes to include children with obesity.  Approximately 13,000 runners participated in the race.

Students received volunteer t-shirts, pizza, and a Certificate of Appreciation for their efforts -many remarked they would have done the work just for the excitement and to be able to give back to the community.   The CRIM staff were appreciative of the work of our student volunteers for the countless bags stuffed for the race participants and invited them back for next years race!
