Ms. Kadajaih Babbitt enrolled at the Finch-Henry Job Corps Center, April 01, 2014. Ms. Babbitt a native from Nettleton, MS enrolled without a HSD and/or any transferable skills for employment. Babbitt enrolled as a 12TH grade completer who failed “two state test.” Babbitt recalled she failed English and Math. Babbitt was determined to earn her HSD, gain employability skills and attend an HBCU of choice post Job Corps. She completed Office Assistant and participated in our leadership program as reporter for SGA and was active on our Softball, Basketball, and Volleyball teams. Not only did Ms. Babbitt meet her goals, she exceeded them. Ms. Babbitt went on to excel , completing a AA (General Studies) Degree at Coahoma Community College, then to Mississippi Valley State University where she earned her BA in Health Physical Education and Recreation and most recently she earned her Master’s in Sport’s Science from The “Jackson State University” Graduating class of 2020. Ms. Babbitt is truly an example of hard work and resilience. She currently is working as a PE instructor in the Columbus School District.
