The Finch-Henry Job Corps Center Carpentry students assisted the South Panola School District Special Education department by building storage cabinets for their newly assigned classrooms. The students went to the classroom site and built a total of five wall cabinets and one coat rack. The Finch-Henry students were called upon to help the school district get ready for the new school year after a fire destroyed most of the elementary school building. The school lost the administrative offices, the cafeteria and seventeen classrooms. The students were very excited about the opportunity to be a part of this community wide effort to prepare needed space for the school district students and staff. The South Panola School District is a strong Work-Based Learning partner of the center.
