Finch-Henry Participates in Panola County Juneteenth Celebration

This past Saturday Finch-Henry Job Corps Center had the pleasure of setting up a booth at The Panola County Juneteenth Festival held in The Town of Sardis. There were organizations of all kinds offering both helpful information, assistance, and goods representing down on Main Street including churches, youth enrichment & community development groups, both national and local, sororities & fraternities, colleges, banks, and restaurants just to name a few. Panolians and people from all over filled the street and enjoyed several live music performances, a double-dutch crew and, tons of free food and information. One local master barber and loc artist, Essie Thomas of Batesville, gave salon quality haircuts to the youth free of charge right there on the street. With a family friendly atmosphere and positive vibes in the air, Finch-Henry was so happy to be a part of such a wonderful event. We all look forward to next year as this community wide celebration grows.
