Project Safe Neighborhoods (“PSN”)

Assistant U.S. Attorney Richard W. Rose (Rhode Island) nationally known for prosecuting the RI Plunderdome scandal.  Attorney Rose is the Rhode Island representative for Project Safe Neighborhoods (“PSN”) the Department of Justice initiative to reduce gun crimes. It networks existing local law enforcement programs that target gun crimes and provides a focal point for community activists in their anti-violence and anti-crime initiatives. There are five elements to PSN: partnerships, strategic planning, training, community outreach and accountability. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Rhode Island has presented the Street Smarts Program to over 30,000 students. Attorney Rose presents yearly at EJCA and is always enthusiastically received by our students. Attorney Rose raised and educated in Providence RI schools and is always willing to share his experiences and wisdom with our students.
