Student Success Story: Latisha C.

Latisha enrolled at Exeter Job Corps Academy after surviving a devastating car accident that left her close friend in serious condition and herself recovering from physical injuries. She decided then that she did not want to end her life without purpose or meaning. Latisha enrolled in Job Corps to kick off her nursing career and has not looked back:

• Completed her Rhode Island State Certified Nursing Assistant License

• Raised Academic Literacy and Numeracy abilities above the 600 levels

• Participated in 2009 Boston Region One Student Leadership conference

• Demonstrated 100 % attendance during tenure

• EJCA Dorm Wing Leader – Aspire

• EJCA Peer Leadership Mentor

• Nominated Student of the Month – Health Occupations CTT

• Presented  at the December 8-10, 2009 Boston Regional Leadership Conference

• Applying to Cassadaga Job Corps Center – LPN Training Program
