Culinary Arts Student Jordan Plante shared information about a recent event which she and fellow Culinary Students Kyle Soltys, Kevin Guibeau participated in called….the “Hunger Bowl.” Our students worked under the guidance of Exeter Culinary Arts Instructor Chef Christopher Pratt. The Kingston Hill Academy was the site of the event which was a fundraiser for the RI Food Bank. The Hunger Bowl dinner is coordinated by young students from Kingston Hill, their families and students from the Johnson & Wales Art club. The J&W art club students made the actual bowls, which the food is served in. Before eating dinner, the young school children took part in a skit which drives home how difficult it is when parents are unable to provide enough food for the family. By raising money for the Food Bank they are doing their part to help feed the needy. Feedback from the Exeter students was that they enjoyed being a part of this event and hope to help again in the future.
