EJCA students provided staff support to the Boston Region ETA office for the November 14-16, 2011 “Working Collaboratively to Provide Work and Learning Opportunities for Young Adults” conference. The Regional Forum was co-hosted by the American Society for Training & Development [ASTD] and held at the Westin Boston Waterfront. This internship provide EJCA students with the opportunity to network with many Workforce Development Employers and Education professionals who focus on the emerging workforce. Students Jasmine Almaraz, Cassie Lee Josephs, Kevin Badaraco-Rodriguez and Christian Brooks worked with ASTD staff to ensure that all Regional Forum participants were registered and directed to the appropriate events. Students met with Region 1 Job Corps Director Joseph Semansky, Dr. Johan Uvin Assistant Secretary Adult and Vocational Education USDOE and listened to Jane Oates Assistant Secretary US DOL/ETA speech. This great opportunity was enjoyed by all!
