EJCA welcomed Elizabeth Connallon, a guest speaker from the Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island on March 1st. Close to 1.7 million Americans sustain a traumatic brain injury each year. EJCA Health and GED students participated in many activities that allowed students to experience how a person with a brain injury feels. Students were educated on the catagories of brain injuries and the possible employment opportunities within this field.  Ms. Connallon supplied the students with samples of the resource guides, educational pamphlets and internet websites during the presentation.
