Exeter Job Corps recently hosted its Battle of the Trades event and it was an epic throw down. White jacket versus Black jacket Culinary students competed in a fierce competition chopped style. Teams of two were given two rounds to showcase their skills in an appetizer and entrée round. Ingredients ranged from Ramen noodles, flaming hot Cheetos, Oysters, honey dew melon, desert cherries to sour warhead candies and the students were judged on taste, presentation and creativity. It was an epic battle that ended in a tie but will be continued in a dessert round to come soon.
