Former four time gold card student Alvaro completed the Culinary Arts program at Excelsior Springs Job Corp. Before completing  Job Corp Alvaro found out that he was accepted to attend the Oregon Culinary Institute this October for the start of the  fall semester to become a chef. While waiting on moving to Oregon Alvaro has been working at the Blue Beacon Truck Wash. Oregon Culinary Institute has partnerships with several restaurants in the area, Alvaro has been in touch with them since leaving Job Corps. They have his uniform, knives and several employment opportunities waiting  for him once he arrives to campus. Alvaro is a very outgoing and motivated young man who is following his dreams to become a chef.
