On Saturday October 27^th 2012 students and staff from the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center and its Kansas City Alternate Training Location participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. A total of 35 students, staff, and guests show for the event. All braved the early cold temperatures and showed  team spirit and support of the center in the t-shirts the center purchased to wear.  The 5k walk was a great experience to get out with like minded citizens in the Kansas City area community and show support of this cause.  In total $220 was raised.
