Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center students participate in Work Based Learning at various sites.

Students from the various Health Occupations Trades at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center have taken advantage of Work Based Learning opportunities at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Students from the Medical Office Support and Pharmacy Technician trades as well as students from the Transportation Communication Union Advanced Trade are gaining valuable on the job training.

Health Occupations Trade students are also gaining experience working at the Matthew 25 Free Health Clinic at the Good Samaritan Center in Excelsior Springs. Students are assisting by taking vitals (blood pressure, height, weight, etc…) as well as assisting the doctor with the examination.
