On Saturday April 16th, students from the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center participated in Earthwalk2011 in Kansas City, Missouri. These eight students raised $71 from their fellow students for Bridging the Gap, a local non-profit that seeks to educate in living green. The week of April 18th, students from the Facilities Maintenance trade performed work at the Good Samaritan Center in Excelsior Springs. Students scrapped and repaired the outside of the building and then applied a fresh coat of paint. This was done as part of Global Youth Service Day.
