Excelsior Springs, MO August 27, 2015. On the cusp of the next phase in their lives, Excelsior Springs Job Corps graduates heard words reflecting on their young careers and what the future holds.
As a class, there have been many amazing achievements in academics and trade. With all these achievements the most important thing is each graduate has proven to themselves to be a socially conscious community member, mature communicator and career ready.
Graduation is not just about celebrating things that have been achieved, but a celebration of new beginnings. Wherever the next adventure may lead, the Class of 2015 will continue to excel, gain knowledge, friendships, experiences and memories with every step they take in this never-ending pursuit of happiness.
As for what is in store for these graduates is a hard question to answer and saying exactly where they will be sets up blinders and leaves little room for exploration. Graduates are encouraged to keep growing, keep pushing themselves, be brave, take risks, make mistakes, learn – and most importantly, just have fun.
Graduates were reminded, you can be whoever you want to be and can do whatever you want to do, but your dreams will not come true just because you want them to, so keep working hard. Designing a life that brings you happiness and satisfaction is hard work and looks different for everyone, so only you can design your dreams!
Now each graduate is off on their own path to conquer the world…Watch out world, here they come!
