On Friday June 10th, Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center Student Government Association President Matt Taylor had an opportunity to meet Congressman Sam Graves. This occurred because of National Mentor a Job Corps Student Day.

Taylor and Graves met shortly before Graves was set to address the quarterly luncheon of the Platte County Economic Development Corporation. They discussed Matt’s future plans for employment which include working in the railroad. Graves’ father and grandfather both worked for Union Pacific.

Matt Taylor is enrolled in the Carman program of TCU at the Excelsior Springs Job Corps Center. In addition to meeting with Congressman Graves, Matt also had the opportunity to sit down with Field Representative Shawna Searcy.
